Santa Brunch

Yesterday we had a wonderful morning at our Santa Brunch. While it didn't go with the big guy exactly as you might hope, it was probably better than our Santa encounter last year! Luke and his buddy Brooks were old pros at the Santa business and were pretty hyped up while waiting in line.

Grace was quite cordial - "Hi Santa!" and "Hi Mrs. Claus!" with big waves, but her grasp on me could not have been any more tight. When I tried to get her to go sit with Luke she looked terrified and was clenching me, so this year we have a lovely family pic with Santa!
Luckily we got that hard part out of the way so that she could enjoy the rest of the morning. She sure looked darling in her precious Christmas dress!
In fact, she matched some of our good friends. Lily wore the big girl version and was so sweet with Grace. Gracie and her friend Lucy were dressed exactly alike and you can tell from these pictures that they aren't quite sure what to think about that. If they only knew that Lucy's Daddy and I used to wear matching outfits when we were little...

After eating a little bit of brunch, the party really started. We were entertained by a great childrens singer who had all the kids dancing and singing like crazy. These cute two-year-old girls starting quietly but soon became the center of the action. Luke and his buddies would dance for a while and then head to this window ledge to sit like they were 14 or something. Don't they look old???

It is too fun to watch all of these adorable kids in their holiday best having a ball together.

After the music was over, we ran around outside for a while because it was 70 degrees! It seems so weird to have it be that warm, but the kids loved being able to play outside.

 On to more December fun!!

  1. I love the family pic with Santa this year! And Gracie's dress is seriously to die for. Luke looks so big. Can't wait to see them in a few weeks!
