Fall means soccer here in Johnson County. Luke joined sort of a potluck team of Briarwood Kindergarten boys this year and it was a great way for him to meet kids from some of the other classes since there are so many kindergarteners. He was definitely more into it this fall as well, which was fun to see! In this game pictured here he scored his first ever goal! It was off of a corner kick and I wasn't expecting it so of course there isn't a picture or anything. He was so excited!
These three boys - Josh, Luke, and Grant - are good buddies. They are in three separate classes, but have recess together and are, according to Luke, in the same "tag group" every recess. The greatest part is that they were in Parent's Day Out together for two years when they were 2 and 3.
We had some beautiful days for soccer!
A tower of soccer sisters! Sofia on the bottom is Josh's big sister and Lila, in the middle, is Grant's twin sister. Gracie loves playing with both of them and they are always very sweet to include her!
This was another one of Luke's good games - TWO goals in this one! Soccer is over now and Luke is going to do some indoor swimming for a few months. He had a great quote that a friend of ours overheard last weekend. He was at a playdate and told his buddy that he had a swimming lesson that afternoon. His friend said. "But I thought you already knew how to swim?" and Luke answered, "Apparently my mom doesn't think so!" :)
