A Little Bit About Us

I am not sure who, if anyone, really reads this blog besides our immediate family. If you do, you probably check it out to see a new picture of Luke every once in a while. So, sorry that this post will not include any cute Lukeness. I thought our family might enjoy seeing some pictures of our 10th anniversary trip. That's right, it's been 10 years now that Matt and I have been married. And it had been 5 years since we had taken a vacation just the two of us. Trying to decide where to go in June when you are 26 weeks pregnant isn't the easiest task, but we decided on Northern California and had an incredible trip. Huge, huge thanks to my parents and sister for watching our little man so that we could do this together! I am pretty sure he didn't even miss us. Matt got in one stop at a winery. We visited Ridge Vineyards in Cupertino. It was a beautiful place up way up high on a ridge (duh, right?). He loved tasting the fancy wines they brought out for his private tasting. I highly enjoyed the bottled water and the lovely gardens.

We then drove to the coast and spent two nights in Monterey. We spent our actual anniversary day doing the 17 mile drive along the coast to Carmel. It was a very chilly, very windy day and made the sea that much more picturesque.

We had a great lunch at Pebble Beach and enjoyed walking around there that afternoon. The US Open is being played there this week so we got to see all the preparations in place. Here's Matt with the 18th green and leader board behind him. We'll have to get him back there to play someday...it was an awesome place.

Here we are after our anniversary dinner at Roy's at the Inn at Spanish Bay, part of the Pebble Beach resort. We had a wonderful dinner while watching the sun set over the Pacific.

We then spent two nights in San Francisco and loved exploring the city together. We had gorgeous, warm weather while we were there.

It was a fabulous way to celebrate our milestone and to enjoy some time alone before we welcome another little one soon.
