Gracie Girl's First Birthday

Our baby girl is ONE! Here she is with Daddy on her birthday night. She is kind of a momma's girl right now, but she lets Matt have his moments too. While she was eating dinner during her birthday party she blew him a kiss that I'm pretty sure melted his heart. She loves to be tickled and we love to do it so we can hear her sweet giggles!

On Saturday we celebrated our little girl with a cupcake themed party. We've called Grace our "little cupcake" since she was born, so it was fitting.

Luke was so excited for the party because it meant that there would be lots of people to play with. Our whole family was there, including his cousins, and then our close family friends the Dillons and Stiglics. They all have kids right around the same ages as ours, so it made it very fun and chaotic! We were so happy that everyone could help us celebrate Gracie!

I bought this precious dress for her online when she was about 4 months old. I was so excited to finally see her in it!

The sweets table was filled with delicious goodies - cake balls made by my sister, cupcake sugar cookies made by my mom, and cupcakes made by me!

I had to include this picture because this was respresentative of the entire party...Grace wanted to hold one finger of someone's hand and walk around. She preferred it to be me, but was happy with just about any volunteer.

How old is Gracie??? ONE! Here she is stripped down and getting ready for her cake.

Singing Happy Birthday...

What is this???

Starting to dig in...

She really went after it!

This was towards the end, after she ate for a good while. This was right before she tried to push the whole plate off of her tray. My mom made a great catch so that it didn't end up on the floor.

The cupcake cake after the birthday girl went to town.

While opening presents, Grace had a great time playing with her cousin William. She was rubbing his buzz cut and giggling at him.

Our big gift to her was this princess ride-on toy. She loved it and suprised us by already figuring out how to get on and off and how to try to make it go. She received so many wonderful things and we are so thankful to everyone who helped us celebrate our baby girl's first birthday!

P.S. GK had her one year appointment on Tuesday. She continues to be our tiny little one. She is 28.5 inches (25th percentile) and 17 lbs. 8 oz. (5th percentile.) By comparison, Luke was 29.5 inches (40th %) and 18 lbs. 15 oz. (4th %) at a year.
