I think in this case peer pressure was a good thing - he didn't want his cousins and friends to leave him behind, so he's trying to get this figured out!

Progress in the Pool
Our big guy has come a log way in the pool in a matter of a few weeks. At the beginning of the summer he wouldn't "go under" and really kinda freaked out if his head got wet at all. A couple of weeks ago after lots of weekend swimming with his cousins, he started jumping in the pool (wearing his "puddle jumper") and going under. Then we got him started in a few private swimming lessons that have helped so much. Today at the pool with one of his buddies he was eager to try swimming by himself in the kid pool. Granted, he can stand in there, but his approach and "stroke" are getting so much better. He was going off the diving board a bunch today too!
I think in this case peer pressure was a good thing - he didn't want his cousins and friends to leave him behind, so he's trying to get this figured out!
