The end of the school year was so much fun with lots of time with friends and several great celebrations! One of Luke's good preschool buddies had originally scheduled an Easter egg hunt that was rained out, so they rescheduled it for an end of year party. The kids, including Gracie and some of her friends, had a ball playing in their great backyard!
Luke asked me just about every day that it was above 60 degrees if it was a "sprinkler day" yet. Finally, right as school got out, it was!
This is Grace and her best buddy at school, Cole. According to the teachers these two were pretty much inseparable all year. Cole's mom and I often laughed because they only played with each other and talked about each other a lot at home too. Very sweet!
Luke's last day of preschool was great for him and a bit sad for me. He has had a wonderful experience at Village. When Matt and I visited a couple of years ago we knew right away that it was the place for us...it just had the feel we wanted. It has a great family atmosphere, is focused on learning through play, has incredible teachers and has been a place Luke has loved to go for the last two years. We are sad to leave. We met some of our special friends out for pizza later that evening after the last day. It was a very fun (and silly!) way to celebrate together!
The next day Village hosted the all school picnic to close the year. Luke had a blast playing with all the kids and wishing his teachers well for the summer!
