Wedding Weekend Part Two - Rehearsal Dinner

About a year ago Katie and her fiance Alex made a visit to KC back from their home in New York City. She asked Luke to be the ring bearer in their wedding. She gave him a book that talked about the duties of the ring bearer and it had this little bear in it wearing a tux. From then on he talked about being the ring "bear" at Katie's wedding. It had cracked us up so we have gone with it. Katie even listed him at the "ring bear" in her program.

Luke was great at the rehearsal and seemed to have no qualms about this duties. (I was happy though when they decided to have the best man hold the actual rings...that made me nervous!) The bridesmaids all doted on him (it helped that he knew two well - my cousin Emily and one of our family friends/babysitters Ginny) and I think he felt pretty special. Emily and Luke matched that night.
He loves spending time with my Aunt Peggy, the mother of the bride.

The fabulous bride then won over the ring bear with gifts at the rehearsal dinner. She gave him a darling bag with his name on it that included a little stuffed bear in a tux, a wedding coloring book she made, crayons, fruit snacks, a Captain America action figure and, best of all, a Captain America mask.
Luke was hysterical running around at the lovely rehearsal dinner amidst all the family and wedding party looking like this...

Gracie came to the rehearsal dinner, but not the actual wedding. She is at a tough age for something like that because she wants down all the time. Plus, with the ring bear duties and me being a reader, we had enough on our plates. She had fun getting lots of attention on Friday night though!
