14 Months
The last month has just flown by. I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week and I can't believe Gracie K is fourteen months old! She continues to be the happiest, easiest little girl. She has her moments of attitude, usually when she wants food or Luke takes something from her, but they are just moments. She has greatly enjoyed the mild weather we've been having because it means we've still had lots of outside time. She is getting to be such an explorer at the park, climbing and sliding on everything.
She doesn't talk much at all yet, but we joke that what she does say she says in many languages. She says mama and dada in so many ways that it sounds like she has a variety of accents. It's very cute. There is a lot of grunting and pointing right now, which can sometimes be frustrating for all of us. She does still sign "all done" and "more", both of which are helpful. She still doesn't call Luke anything, though it is very obvious he is her absolute favorite thing.
Grace now has 6 teeth on the top and 4 on the bottom, but her two molars are coming in there as well. She continues to love to eat and tries whatever we have. Most nights she truly eats more than Luke.
She's a funny little girl too, with lots of personality. She likes to sit at the little table and color, look at an album of pictures of our family, dig in our pantry, and give sweet hugs and pats. She has become very attached to a little lovey and needs "blankie" for her naps and bedtime. She knows some of her animals noises - lion, snake, cow, duck - and Matt has started his rapid fire testing of her, just as he did with Luke. She wants to do whatever Luke is doing, which often means she gets to wear goofy things like goggles and a Captain America mask.
She loves to get on the trampoline and try to jump!
Luke has been very into playing Toy Story again lately. Here Woody and Jessie were riding Bullseye together. Grace loves to rock on this little horse.
The next month should be exciting as she gets to learn about all the fun Christmas stuff!
