Christmas - Part Two
We headed down to Wichita on Christmas Eve for two great days with my parents and sister. Here are Grace and Becca making fish/kissy lips.
"Jammie Santa" came to visit on Christmas Eve and brought coordinating snowman jammies for Luke and Grace.
I love this picture for a couple of reasons. One, Luke was so excited to put out Santa's milk and cookies and a carrot for the reindeer. ("Santa likes chocolate milk, right?") He was just so much fun this year with all of the magical things about Christmas. Two, I love the gorgeous stockings in the background. My mom has now needlepointed stockings for all of us as Matt got his this year. She is working on Grace's now. Oh, the dog stockings were purchased, but all the rest are a labor of love!
Grace has a special relationship with my dad. She follows Buckle around, wants him to hold her, cuddles in with him, pats his back and face, and in general, just loves him. It is precious.
Santa gifts! Luke got just what he asked for - a Thundercats sword and IronMan and Hulk action figures. Grace got a doll and stroller.
"Thundercats ho!"
Luke gave Grace a darling stuffed Tink doll. He was so happy to give it to her and she loves it. In fact, he was a great gift giver. I don't have any pictures, but he gave me a very special gift. He told Matt a couple of weeks before Christmas that he wanted to give me a "chocolate diamond." Any time a commercial for Jared Jewelers would come on tv he would start to giggle. Unfortunately, real chocolate diamonds are actually quite expensive, so Matt finally took Luke out to Macy's on Christmas Eve morning and they found me a lovely chocolate diamond there. (Ring with brown stone from the costume jewelry section. Shhh...) Luke wanted to give it to me immediately after he went through his stocking. He was so excited and just kept kissing and hugging me. If he keeps this up he will make some girl very happy someday.
Sibling love! Grace gave Luke a tauntaun figure from Star Wars.
My parents gave Gracie this cute horse. She loves it and her red "Jessie" cowgirl hat!

Mighty Thor!
Grace feeding her new baby doll
and taking her for a walk. She had been playing with baby dolls that open and close their eyes everywhere we went, so that's what Luke told Santa she wanted. She is so cute with her baby.
This last picture is probably only funny if you were there, but Gracie was quite a disaster by the end of Christmas night. She ate a ton at dinner and rubbed potatoes and cranberries in her hair. We changed her out of her dress as it was covered with food, so she was in her pajama top, bloomers, and tights stained with cranberries. Then we tried to try a new pair of shoes on her, but she kept taking off, so she has on two different shoes. But, she was still game for one more of Kaki's delicious sugar cookies!
