Every year each preschool class at Village Presbyterian meets with Ruth, the Director of Children's Ministry, to act out a reading of the Christmas story. Every child who is interested is assigned a role and given a costume. The kids just walk through their roles as Ruth talks through the story. It's a great way to do it with kids this age. Luke made a darling shepherd and was super excited about his "stick" and lamb. Here are the two shepherds getting the news from the adorable angels.

This was right before they sang "Away in a Manger" with their teachers. I only cried just a tiny bit.
