Happy New Year!

We said goodbye to 2012 with a group of great friends. Our hosts put together a very fun, festive evening for both the adults and kids. Luke was happy to ring in the new year with several of his best buds and Grace had lots of fun girls around too. 

It's pretty funny to watch these boys together...they certainly get each other going!

Daddy and his girl. Me and my friend, Jeff. Our moms used to dress us alike when we were little kids, so when we both were wearing plaid shirts, we knew we had to document that it is still happening.

By about 9:30, the crowd of kids had dwindled to these five and one more slightly older girl (who was fabulous all evening with Grace and her friend Lucy!) Luke begged his way into a sleepover with his friend Brooks when they showed up downstairs at one point in pajamas. Subtle, right? They watched a movie and then went to sleep, late. Grace went home with us and cried the entire way about, "I have a sleepover at Lucy's. I go back Lucy's house." We picked a tired Luke up the next morning and were all very thankful for such a fun New Year's Eve!
