Rock Chalk

Our little Jayhawks have been at it again. Both kids have been requesting the KU Alma Mater as one of their bedtime songs on and off lately. Grace, in particular, loves it, as she does "I'm a Jayhawk." We decided we definitely needed to get a video of her tiny, 2 year old self singing this as we know her cute voice won't sound this way forever. 

One cold, January Sunday we took the kids to Lawrence to watch the KU women's team play. We had lunch at one of our favorite kid-friendly spots on Mass St., Jefferson's. Or, as Luke called it, "the place with all the cash on the walls." Ice cream sandwiches came with the kid's meals. Big hit at our table.

 It was fun to be in a slightly more empty Allen Fieldhouse. We got to sit wherever we wanted - right near the band for Grace - and the kids even ran up and down the bleachers for a while. It eventually filled up a bit more as the women were playing Baylor, the defending national champs and number 1 team in the country.

 We had a great afternoon dancing with the band, eating popcorn and playing around in the Fieldhouse. We even got to see Big Jay! We love Lawrence!
